Product Marketing Manager

Job Description: As the Product Marketing Manager at LW Flooring, you will play a pivotal role in driving the marketing strategy and product positioning for our extensive range of flooring products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and senior management, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns that effectively promote our products and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our flooring products across various channels, including digital, print, and trade shows.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitive landscape, and use insights to inform product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure alignment between product features, customer preferences, and marketing messaging.
  • Create compelling marketing materials, including product brochures, sales presentations, and website content, to effectively communicate the value proposition of our flooring products.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide marketing support and develop sales tools that enable them to effectively promote our products to customers.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance and customer feedback to continuously optimize strategies and tactics for maximum impact and ROI.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to identify new opportunities for product innovation and market differentiation.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure the website is updated frequently and website’s efficiency is maintained; oversee all social media platforms.
  • Ensure all required certificates are active, updated, and renewed appropriately and timely.
  • Collaborate with upper-level management on new collections, including but not limited to, naming collections and colors.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing Department on samples, displays, and header designs. Design labels, headers, and all samples, including displays.
  • Obtain and create quality visual scenes of products for websites and samples.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in product marketing, preferably within the flooring or building materials industry.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, with a track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Google suites and marketing software/tools.
  • Previous Floor Covering experience REQUIRED!
  • Knowledge of flooring products and installation techniques.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate each department’s competencies, learning needs, and performance deficiencies using advanced psychological assessment tools, behavioral analysis methods, and data-driven insights. Assess CSR/Claims teams’ service empathy competencies using Service Empathy Competency Evaluation.

Organize and analyze sales data, generating reports using SPSS, R, or Excel to assess performance metrics. Review regional managers’ sales performance data with the President and VP of Sales and Product Development, presenting findings such as abnormal sample demand spikes in certain regions or significant month-over-month sales increases/decreases for specific products.

Identify inefficiencies and evaluate social media engagement rates. Assess purchasing team performance, analyzing supplier delivery reliability rates and inventory turnover ratios. Design
high-pressure logistics simulations, assessing how warehouse employees react under stress and their team communication and coordination skills in crisis situations. Analyze historical logistics
data, tracking warehouse employee on-time delivery rates, inventory errors, and warehouse accuracy.

Develop personalized training roadmaps and learning paths based on skill assessments, career goals, and competency gaps. Implement adaptive technologies such as AI-driven learning platforms and gamified simulations. Design and deliver digital and in-person training content, including e-learning courses, webinars, tutorials, and virtual instructor-led training, using tools like Articulate, Adobe Captivate, and LMS platforms. Lead instructor-led sessions using case studies, role-playing, and group discussions, integrating gamification strategies like leaderboards, achievement badges, and interactive challenges to boost engagement and retention.

Prepare customize training programs based on performance data, employee feedback, and emerging industry trends. Conduct regular training needs assessments based on evolving market conditions, product updates, and competitive analysis.

Analyze training effectiveness metrics and conduct pre- and post-training assessments, performance evaluations, and feedback surveys. Update training materials, regularly review and revise training content to incorporate latest product innovations, customer preferences, and updates in industry standards.

Develop a comprehensive training calendar that aligns with business goals and regional needs. Design training sessions with an optimal balance of information complexity, preventing cognitive overload and ensuring efficient learning processes using Cognitive Load Theory. Conduct research and integrate emerging training technologies, including virtual reality (VR)-enabled product training, AI-based coaching platforms, and mobile learning applications to enhance engagement and accessibility.

Develop and deliver compliance training programs, including OSHA-compliant workplace safety training and in-depth product training covering technical specifications, installation procedures, maintenance protocols, and environmental sustainability certifications.

Requirement: Bachelor or its equivalent in Psychology or Organizational Development and with 3.0 credit hours on each course in Quantitative Methods Psychology and Psychology of Motivation.
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Salary for Training and Development Specialist: $55,000 per year
